Custom Carbide Inserts

Can I choose an insert from the thread pitch alone?

No. Also confirm the thread standard and form, internal or external use, hand, insert platform and holder compatibility. Special or multi-start profiles need additional geometry information.

Can full-profile and partial-profile inserts be interchanged?

They have different profile coverage and crest-forming requirements. Review the thread specification, pitch range, blank diameter and tooling setup before changing insert type.

How should I select the carbide grade and coating?

Provide the workpiece material, hardness, cutting conditions, coolant method and observed wear. The substrate, coating and edge preparation should be reviewed together.

Can ONMY review a custom or replacement insert?

Yes. Share the finished thread drawing, existing insert code or sample information, holder details and required quantity so the geometry and compatibility can be assessed.
