Machining Guidelines
- Application: Specifically for Parallel threads (BSW, BSF, BSP/G). For Tapered threads (BSPT), please see our dedicated BSPT section.
- Stock Allowance: These are Full Profile threading inserts for lathe applications. Leave approximately 0.05-0.10mm on the diameter so the insert can “top” the crest for a perfect finish.
- Tool Holder: Use standard laydown threading inserts holders. Ensure the shim selection matches the helix angle of the thread pitch.
