Scarfing Tools
Scarfing Tools mainly consists of a combination of cutting inserts and tool holders to remove excess weld bead that forms at the weld seam during the high-frequency welding process of steel pipes and pipelines. This keeps the inner and outer surfaces (outer diameter OD and inner diameter ID) of the pipe or pipeline smooth and seamless.
The scarfing tool uses one or more carbide inserts to contact and cut into the raised weld bead, peeling or flattening it from the base material to achieve the desired diameter and smoothness on the pipe surface.
