Product Family Definition

What Are SEET, SEKT, SEHT and SEER Inserts?

These are square positive-relief indexable milling insert families used for face milling in compatible cutter bodies.

The first two letters identify the square shape and positive clearance direction, while the following letters and numbers distinguish tolerance, clamping form, size and geometry. The complete code is required because SEET1203, SEKT1204, SEHT1204, SEER1203 and SEER1504 are not one universal pocket.

SEKT1204AFTN and SEHT1204AFFN use the TSE-45 platform. SEET1203AFEN, SEER1203AFS and SEER1504AFS use the SE-12 cutter platform; the exact SE-12 pocket must still match the selected size.

SEET1203AFEN

12.55 mm square platform, 3.18 mm thickness and 0.80 mm corner radius. Grades D530, D570 and D580; compatible with the SE-12 platform.

General Coated 1204

The TSE-45 face milling range is specified for the SE□T1204 platform. This confirms the SEKT1204AFTN and SEHT1204AFFN size direction, but the complete geometry and actual pocket condition must still be checked.

Ø50–63 mm4- and 5-tooth cutters with 22 mm bores.
Ø80–100 mm6- and 7-tooth cutters with 27 or 32 mm bores.
Ø125–160 mm8- and 10-tooth cutters with 40 mm bores.
Ø200–250 mm12- and 14-tooth cutters with 60 mm bores.
