Double Helical Holes Tungsten Carbide Rod
Double helical holes tungsten carbide rods are designed with spiral coolant channels for superior heat dissipation and chip evacuation. Made from premium tungsten carbide, these rods deliver high hardness, excellent wear resistance, and enhanced tool life. Ideal for manufacturing drills, end mills, and reamers, they provide stable cutting performance in high-speed and difficult-to-machine materials.
Double helical holes tungsten carbide rods are advanced tool blanks engineered with spiral coolant channels running through the rod body. Compared with straight-hole designs, the double helical structure allows for faster coolant flow, more efficient chip removal, and improved heat dissipation during machining. This unique design significantly reduces tool wear, prevents cutting edge chipping, and enhances machining efficiency in demanding operations.
Manufactured through precision powder metallurgy, these rods combine tungsten carbide and cobalt to achieve outstanding hardness (HRA 89–93), excellent wear resistance, and high toughness. The double helical holes ensure stable coolant distribution, making them especially suitable for producing high-performance drills, end mills, and reamers used in high-speed machining of stainless steel, heat-resistant alloys, and other hard-to-cut materials.
Available in both ground and unground conditions, our tungsten carbide rods are produced with tight dimensional tolerances and uniform microstructure for consistent tool performance. Standard diameters range from 3 mm to 20 mm, with lengths up to 330 mm. Custom specifications can also be supplied to meet special toolmaking requirements.
